Student Government Association Hosting Blood Drive Tuesday Sept. 19

Columbus State's SGA is calling for eligible donors to contribute blood for hurricane relief, drive held in Columbus Room in Davidson

A blood drive with the American Red Cross is being hosted by the Student Government Association on Tuesday, Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. to provide relief for hurricane victims in the wake of Harvey.

SGA President, Logan Ragan, said that if any registered CSU student organizations wish to contribute to this effort, they should send an email to SGAVPSA@columbusstate.edu or SGApresident@columbusstate.edu

Logan iterated the importance of a collaborative effort in the hopes of achieving the greatest impact with regard to disaster relief.

"We all need to try to work together on one project and act as one group so we can have the greatest impact helping those in need," Logan said. "We hope to see the student body rally together and help those in need."

CNN has reported that there is currently a need for more than 2,000 blood donations in Texas alone.
