CSU Student-Athletes Host 5k for Make-A-Wish Foundation

According to a press release by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), the SAAC at Columbus State University will host a 5k race on Saturday, April 29. The proceeds of the race will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The 5k is set to begin at 9 a.m. and will take place at Cougar Court between the Lumpkin Center and the softball field on CSU's main campus.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that makes "wishes" come true for children with life-threatening medical conditions, has 62 chapters across the United States. This is the second running of this particular event, and will attract many runners from the local community as well as CSU's campus community. Registration is now available online at runsignup.com where participants can also donate if they wish. Awards will be presented to the top three male runners and the top three female runners, and registration is $20 before April 20. Participants are guaranteed a shirt if they register by April 20.
